I was really an eye-catcher back in
those days. After a long trip up the mountain over a
bumpy dusty road, I was one of the first things moved
into the little log cabin. That's where I lived for
many years and became the center of activity for the
busy family.
Sitting in the center of the kitchen,
I warmed the rooms and helped prepare the meals. Momma's
cooking filled the air with delightful smells of stews
and fresh baked bread. I was new and shiny back then
and my polished oven doors glistened when wiped clean
after the work was done.
